Proof of Concept
We believe in starting small and proving a concept quickly. Proof of Concept (PoC) is a great way to innovate and trial new systems while keeping cost and risk down until it is proven and stress tested.
This can take the form of a pilot project within a subset of our client's business. Only once this proof of concept has been completed will we scale up.
Short or medium-term MICRO projects
We can design and implement our work with the use of ‘micro-projects’ - short-to-medium term projects allowing full implementation and embedding of a solution into our client’s business. We track each project using tools, allowing full visibility to the client, to ensure we are on track and can pivot quickly if required, remaining agile in our approach.
If our client doesn’t have the expertise to get their asset health and maintenance projects off the ground, let Novum Solutions take care of it.
Embedded Resources
We can work within our client’s teams to understand their business, their risks and their operating constraints, to help move them to the right end of the Asset Health continuum. We don't believe in ‘in-and-out’ consulting, dropping unrealistic recommendations and leaving our client a long punch list to complete by themselves.

All our clients have assets, whether static or rotating, each with an operating philosophy and an expected life cycle. These different assets need varying degrees of risk management, maintenance and expertise.
This is the starting point. We help clients at this end of the asset health continuum by conducting a FMECA (Failure Modes, Effect and Criticality Analysis) to classify their assets and determine the best monitoring strategies for each, if at all. This exercise creates a starting point for moving the client across the continuum.
Moving up the Asset Health Continuum provides clients with better Asset Health insight, allowing for more informed maintenance decisions.

For the assets with failure modes that can be predicted and monitored due to their criticality, sparing, etc., we implement Asset Health monitoring. Failure modes that cannot be predicted, other maintenance strategies may be implemented.
Asset Health in more than just condition monitoring. If done poorly, it is just more ‘information noise’ that site teams don’t know how to act upon.
We listen to the client’s specific asset requirements and issues. Does asset X fail often? Perhaps the asset’s operation can be optimised. Maybe they are being over-maintained. Whatever the need, we can tailor a solution to provide the client with the asset data that drives meaningful action.

We establish and operate integrated Asset Health Systems to facilitate the flow of good asset health data, resulting in the right maintenance actions being taken at the right time.
All data benefits from being organised into a well-designed system. This supercharges the benefits and unlocks greater insights, as well as integrating into the client’s existing systems.
This could mean anything from designing an asset health system from the ground up or tweaking and optimising a previously-established system.
